In 2021, students at Altona Primary School engage in the following specialist subjects:
Students attend Music, Visual Arts, Physical Education and Technology for one timetabled session per week. These lessons are delivered by highly skilled teachers in well-resourced classroom spaces.
Auslan (sign language) is delivered as a stand-alone subject on a rotating timetable, however all staff are enabled to authentically engage students with this as an additional language across all subject areas.
Along with the specialist subjects, students attend a library session once a week and also engage in a variety of sustainability experiences in our school grounds connected to integrated studies.
